Publicity/Promotion: Our strategic process includes:
CAMPAIGN TIMELINE The heights of optimum success at the professional level in today’s music industry reach beyond the sonic qualities of any band or artist’s voice. The visual presentation and proper molding of an artist’s image are equally pertinent to the marketability of any industry pursuit. Except in very rare circumstances and few niche markets, musicianship and talent aren’t often competitive enough assets in the modern music business. Visual appeal plays strongly, and LPJ Entertainment LLC has access to some of the entertainment industry’s most innovative stylists and designers to create a sophisticated, unique and highly marketable reflection of who you and your particular style of music are. We guarantee results by developing a highly marketable image campaign for you that is current, competitive and professional. The Process 1. Artist submits materials for review. The first step is for you to send LPJ Entertainment your press kit(s) –past and present, band bio, and CD(s). Each member of our staff will critically review all of these materials to determine if a collaborative endeavor between us is a marketable match. We are ethical and at times, prudent, about our commitment to cultivating artist development relationships with all potential candidates. In short: we refuse to take on any project if we cannot truly assist you in reaching your goals. If LPJ Entertainment is assisting an artist with music development, production and image development, these processes get priority treatment. 2. Develop Your LPJ Publicity & Promotion Plan. Once your materials have been reviewed or appraised for development, an LPJ representative will contact you to determine where you are in your career, what your goals are, what your budget is, and what you hope to achieve by investing in professional publicity and promotion. This is not a long-term strategy meeting. Rather, our focus is on projections for results over the course of a 6-month to 12-month plan. Together, we will develop your personalized publicity and promotion plan. This plan will include development of your unique story that matches your music genre(s) for press kits and one-sheets, a mix of indie-radio promotion, retail promotion, your career level, immediate goals and costs budget. This plan will also outline what you can expect from LPJ before, during, and after the campaign. It will also determine what we expect from you. 3. Contract & Payment. Before work can begin, we will need to receive a signed contract from you as well as payment for the campaign. LPJ Entertainment offers flexible payment plans. 4. Promotional Materials. LPJ’s Operations Team must receive all of your promotional materials (CDs to be used in your campaign, stickers, merchandise, T-shirts or other swag to be used for giveaways and incentives, etc) no less than 2 weeks prior to the start date of your campaign. We need all materials 2 weeks prior to the start date to complete all pre-campaign work. This is important: get us your promotional materials on time. 5. Mailing. Your promo CDs and one-sheets will be placed in LPJ Entertainment mailers and sent to the industry contact list that we develop specifically for your project. This marks the beginning of your campaign. 6. Confirm Receipt and Review. After the mailing, LPJ’s Promotional Team immediately begins following up with radio, retail and media contacts regarding your project. We then confirm that all packages have been received. Consistent communication between LPJ and industry contacts determine reception of your CD, press kit and promo materials. If successfully placed on the air, we chart airplay, specific track requests, and general radio response. If the opportunity arises, we may arrange for on-the-air interviews and radio-station appearances. 7. Regular Reports. You can expect weekly e-reports from LPJ after the initial mailing period. We will inform you of progress and answer all questions. INDIEgo’s reports are the best in the industry: detailed, readable, thorough and brutally honest. Good news, bad news –INDIEgo is always honest news. INDIEgo clients use these reports to learn about how they’re perceived in the industry and how to best target future audiences. 8. Campaign Summary. During the campaign, all collected reports, industry feedback, campaign results, chart positions, commentary, press, publicity and retail information are at your disposal. All items are compiled for you as well as a list of industry contacts made on behalf of your project. 9. Post-Campaign. Your Artist Development Representative will contact you to confirm you’ve received your Campaign Summary package as well as answer any questions regarding future collaborations. |
