LPJ’s Dream Team

Everything that is and ever was began with an idea. That idea came from a vision, and the vision came from a dream. And when one dream is dreamed by two people, and then three, and those three share it with others of like mind and heart, the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts, and something unstoppable is born. Aligned with the intention to create only good in the world, and with their grounded belief in limitless possibility, deserving and worthy talent, and perfect timing, LPJ Records is poised and ready to burst upon the scene..

LPJ’s greatest asset is our visionary team, which will run the operations, and steer the vision of the venture. Our staff is broken down in to two divisions: The record label, marketing services, as well as booking and management services. The other division is our production and studio services.

Laurie Grant & Peter Seven

Co-Presidents

The principal owners Peter Seven, Laurie Grant, and partner Joe Seabe, create our strong in house production and songwriting team. Laurie Grant, and Peter Seven, the visionaries and entrepreneurs of the operation, started their production team in 1998. Accomplished as musicians and producers, Laurie and Peter have had extensive training in many aspects of this business of producing music. Laurie, along with Peter, learned to engineer and produce all styles of music using a digital platform. Laurie and Peter set up the LPJ recording studio and have recorded all types of projects ranging from film music, pop, rap, rock, and everything in between. Along with mastering the recording and production side of the industry, Laurie and Peter have had an extensive career in the area of music performance. Laurie and Peter have performed every style of music imaginable, from rock to religious.

In October of 2002, Laurie and Peter brought in a 3rd partner, Joe Seabe, and they formed a new company, LPJ Entertainment LLC. The 3-member team of LPJ Entertainment LLC focuses on music production for independent artists and takes pride in developing new talent as well as working with seasoned artists, also developing music for film, TV, commercials, and other mediums.

Since the beginning of LPJ, Laurie Peter and Joe have worked with over 20 artists from all different genres of music. LPJ has worked with several music libraries, including Manhattan Production Music, Wild Whirled Music, and Transition Music. They have recorded several full length CD’s as well as demos for their clients, which they always finish with a ‘Radio Ready’ professionally mixed and mastered final product.

Laurie Grant has been trained in the classics as a pianist; studying music and business at UCLA and has also earned a degree in Jazz and Theory from the Grove School of Music. Having a solid background in music composition and arrangement, Laurie has also shared her songwriting talents with family member and Universal Music songwriter Lindy Robbins (who has penned songs for Faith Hill, Clay Aiken, Backstreet Boys and 3LW), both co-writing many songs for independent artists and music placement and licensing companies together over the years. Having an affinity to educate and share art with the younger generation, Laurie has composed music for the children’s play “Kookie Clubhouse Kingdom” which was slated for television in the 90’s, as well as crafting a children’s album with Lindy, called “Ice Cream for Breakfast.” Most recently, Laurie has written songs for actress Nina Repeta (Dawson’s Creek), for an album titled "Ladies of the Canyon." Grant has had placements with Documentaries such as "Abbie Hoffman" on A &E's cable show, as well as "America's Top Model".

Peter Seven has over 25 years experience in the entertainment business working as both a professional musician and a controller for entertainment companies. Peter, being interested and trained in both business and music, was educated at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Peter was a forerunner in the original “DIY” perspective, organicallyrooted in the anti-establishment of the punk movement in the 70’s. He has played in bands since youth. He was signed to Casablanca Records right at the demise of Neil Bogart and his label. This has kept a fire burning to accomodate other artists seeking to work in an artist friendly environment. It is Peter strong drive to succeed, and his love of working with artists that will assure a very refreshing approach to music business affairs.
